1001 Nights
A powerful documentary project about child brides, taken from their family over political choices made by dictators. The journey of one victim and her family's fight for freedom and reunion from Africa to the Middle East. The project was focused on performances captured with 3D scan technology: Depthkit, and point cloud captures largely taken from locations in Oman, and Kenya. The app was used heavily as a portion of a larger gallery installation, the VR headset ran without an attendant for the duration of the exhibition
I was responsible for cutting and cleaning the point clouds from the scans provided. I also assembled the VR experience in Unity using the Sequencer to orchestrate particles along with animated scans and animated shaders on photogrammetry props. I made and edited the camera paths at the direction of the project's director. I ended up creating quite a few sequencer enabled tracks to allow for timeline features like fading intervals, time-dependent movement, particle effects over time, path locating.
